Calls: an AI receptionist on your phone line

Ivy answers your forwarded calls in a natural voice, takes messages and booking requests, and logs every call with a summary.

Forward your business line and Ivy, your AI receptionist, picks up. She answers from your Business DNA (your offers, prices and location), takes messages and captures booking requests.

Every call lands in Recent calls with a summary and transcript, and a follow-up is drafted for you. Ivy never confirms a booking or promises anything herself. She collects the details and tells the caller someone will get back to them.

Why it helps

  • Callers reach a friendly, informed voice instead of voicemail.
  • Every message and booking request is written down with the caller's name and number, so nothing depends on memory.
  • A follow-up is drafted after each call, so you can get back to people quickly.

How to use it

  1. Open Inbox → Calls. Choose Inbox → Calls. If it says Phone isn't switched on yet, calls aren't ready on your account yet; ask us in office hours.
  2. Connect Ivy's number. Under Connect a number, paste the number Ivy answers on into Your phone number (E.164), with the + and country code.
  3. Tell Ivy how to answer. Under How Ivy answers, set the Greeting, Business hours, Transfer / callback number and Voice.
  4. Choose bookings and alerts. Tick Let Ivy take booking requests, plus Push me on every call or Email me on every call. Click Save settings.
  5. Forward your business line. On your phone, open Settings → Call forwarding and forward to Ivy's number. The page also lists dial codes for common carriers.
  6. Test it and review calls. Call your number and ask a question. The call appears under Recent calls; click it for the summary, transcript and any message or booking request.

Make the most of it

  • Fill in your Business DNA first. Ivy answers only from what's there, and says so plainly when she doesn't know.
  • Set Business hours and a Transfer / callback number. Your DNA doesn't hold these, and Ivy gives callers that number when they want a person.
  • Prefer to pick up yourself first? Forward only unanswered calls; the page shows that code for GSM carriers.
  • Write a Greeting with your business name, so callers know at once they've reached the right place.

Questions

Does Ivy book appointments on her own?

No. She collects the service, a preferred time, and the caller's name and number, reads them back and says a team member will confirm. You confirm the booking.

What if a caller wants a real person?

Ivy flags the call for you. If you set a Transfer / callback number, she also gives the caller that number.

Do my customers need a new number?

No. They keep calling your usual line, and you forward it to the number Ivy answers on.

Can my teammates see calls?

No. Calls is owner-only.
