Google Analytics
Give your Experts read-only access to your website traffic, so reports use your real visits, sources and pages.
Connecting Google Analytics gives your Experts read-only access to your website traffic: how many people visit, where they come from and which pages they land on. You choose the one Analytics property that belongs to this business, so nobody guesses.
Rankwell, your SEO Expert, uses it alongside Search Console, and your Analytics page fills with your traffic after the next sync. Nothing in your Analytics account can be changed from here.
Why it helps
- Reports quote your actual visits and traffic sources instead of rough guesses.
- You see which pages bring people in, so you know where effort pays.
- Your Analytics settings and data stay exactly as they are, because access is read-only.
How to use it
- Find Google Analytics. Open Settings → Connected apps and find Google Analytics under For your business. The Connect button on the Analytics page brings you to the same row.
- Connect with Google. Press Connect and sign in with the Google account that owns your Analytics. Google asks for read-only access.
- Choose your property. Back on the row, press Choose Analytics property and pick the one for this business.
- Put it to work. Your traffic appears on the Analytics page after the next sync. Brief Rankwell for an SEO read that uses it.
Make the most of it
- Connect with the same Google account you use for Gmail and Drive. A workspace keeps one Google account.
- Connect Search Console too: Analytics shows what people do on your site, Search Console shows how they found you.
- Picked the wrong property? Choose again from the same row at any time.

Questions
Can an Expert change my Analytics settings?
No. Google grants read-only access, so nothing in your account can be changed.
I have several properties. Which one is used?
Only the one you choose on the row. Pick it right after connecting.
How do I disconnect it?
Analytics shares your Google sign-in. Remove on the Google Workspace row under Direct connections ends all Google access, Analytics included.
