Google Sheets
Let your Experts read your spreadsheets, and have the tables they build land in a new Google Sheet instead of the chat.
Connecting Google Sheets lets your Experts read any spreadsheet you can open, such as your stock list, lead tracker or cost sheet. Paste the sheet's link into a brief and say which tab or columns matter.
It works the other way too. Aria, Pulse and Penny can put a table they build, like rankings, ledger rows or margins, into a brand-new Google Sheet in your Drive and hand you the link. Your existing sheets are never changed. Sheets comes with the same Google sign-in as Gmail and Drive.
Why it helps
- Experts work from the numbers you already keep, not from figures you retype into a brief.
- Reports arrive as real spreadsheets you can sort, filter and share.
- Your own sheets stay untouched, because Experts only ever create new ones.
How to use it
- Connect Google. In Settings → Connected apps, under Direct connections, press Connect Google on the Google Workspace row.
- Allow Drive access. Sheets are read through Drive, so leave the Drive boxes ticked on Google's screen.
- Point an Expert at a sheet. Paste the sheet's link into a brief and name the tab, for example “read the Stock tab and tell me what to reorder”.
- Ask for a sheet back. Ask Aria, Pulse or Penny to “put that in a Google Sheet”. The link comes back with the result.
Make the most of it
- On a big sheet, name the range, like “Sheet1 A1 to D50”, so the Expert reads just what matters.
- A clear header row tells the Expert what each column means.
- Each run can create up to two new sheets, so ask for related tables as tabs in one sheet.
Hand it over in one click
- Figure out what I actually made this month — Penny
- Get my contacts out of spreadsheets and PDFs — Orbit
- See which Experts are pulling their weight — Pulse
Questions
Can an Expert edit my existing spreadsheet?
No. It can read any range and create new sheets. It never writes into a sheet you already have.
Do I connect Sheets separately from Drive?
No. One Google sign-in covers Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Calendar.
