Google Drive

Let your Experts find and read your Docs and files, and save finished work as new Google Docs in your Drive.

Connecting Google Drive lets your Experts search your files, read a Google Doc and read a Google Sheet. Point one at your price list or last proposal and it works from the real thing instead of guessing.

Experts can also turn finished work into a new Google Doc in your Drive, filed in your Library with an Open in Google Docs button. They only ever create new files: nothing of yours is edited, shared or deleted. Drive comes with the same Google sign-in as Gmail and Calendar.

Why it helps

  • Experts quote your real prices, terms and notes because they read the documents you already keep.
  • Finished deliverables arrive as Google Docs you can edit and share like any other.
  • Your existing files stay exactly as they are, because Experts read them but never change them.

How to use it

  1. Connect Google. In Settings → Connected apps, under Direct connections, press Connect Google on the Google Workspace row.
  2. Allow Drive access. Sign in and leave the Drive boxes ticked. Without them, Experts can't read files or create Docs.
  3. Browse and summarize files. On Inbox → Google, open the Drive tab, search your files and press Summarise on a Doc or Sheet.
  4. Ask for a Google Doc. In any brief, say “save it as a Google Doc”. The new Doc appears in your Library under Google Doc.
  5. Remove it when you want. Press Remove on the Google Workspace row. Gmail and Calendar go with it.

Make the most of it

  • Paste a Doc's link into a brief to point an Expert at exactly the right file.
  • Experts search by file name and by the words inside, so a clear name like “2026 price list” helps.
  • Tables can go straight into a new Google Sheet instead. See Google Sheets.

Questions

Can an Expert edit or delete my files?

No. Experts read your files and create new Docs. They never edit, share or delete anything that was already there.

Where do the new Docs go?

Into your Google Drive, with a card in your Library that opens the Doc.

Can teammates use my Drive?

Only after you turn on Share with my team, and then only to read. Creating Docs stays with your own briefs.
