YouTube

Let your Experts read your YouTube channel's numbers, so video plans start from your real subscribers and views.

Connecting YouTube lets your Experts read your channel's stats: subscribers, total views and how many videos you've published. Vega, your video Expert, can then plan and script with your channel's real size in mind.

It is read-only. No Expert can upload, edit or delete a video, or change anything on your channel. YouTube connects on its own row in the catalog, because the main Google sign-in for Gmail and Drive can't include it.

Why it helps

  • Video plans fit the channel you actually have, not a generic creator playbook.
  • You get a quick read on your channel's numbers without opening YouTube yourself.
  • Your channel stays untouched, because the connection can only read.

How to use it

  1. Find YouTube. Open Settings → Connected apps and search the catalog for YouTube.
  2. Connect it. Press Connect and finish the Google sign-in in the tab that opens. The row then shows Connected.
  3. Brief Vega. Ask Vega to script your next video or plan clips from your last one. Vega can check the channel's stats as part of the job.

Questions

Can Vega upload or publish to my channel?

No. The connection only reads channel stats. Publishing stays with you.

The row says “Ask us to enable”. What now?

YouTube sign-in isn't switched on yet. Ask us during office hours.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the app's access in your Google Account's security settings. That ends all of its Google access, Gmail and Drive included.
