Turn a recording into captioned clips
Upload a Zoom call, webinar or talk and get back short clips of the moments that stand on their own, cut, captioned and finished in your brand.
In Brand → Create, open Work with footage you have. Choose Clips from a file to upload a recording from your computer, or Clips from a recording to paste a public link to one. Vega, your video Expert, transcribes it, picks the moments that make sense on their own from what was actually said, and cuts each one.
Every clip comes back finished: captions burned in, set in your brand font where it can be, a hook card, an end card and levelled sound, in the shape you choose.
Why it helps
- One recording you already made becomes up to five posts, with no editing on your side.
- Clips are picked from the real transcript, so no clip claims something you never said.
- Captions are burned in, so clips still make sense in feeds that play on mute.
How to use it
- Open the footage shelf. Go to Brand → Create, choose Work with footage you have, then Clips from a file.
- Choose your recording. Press Choose a recording and pick a video or audio file. The page checks the size before it uploads and tells you if it’s too big.
- Pick how many and what shape. Set Clips from 1 to 5, and Shape: 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, 1:1 for the feed, or 16:9 for YouTube.
- Find the clips. Press Find the best clips. It uploads, then transcribes and cuts; an hour of footage takes a few minutes, and you can leave the page.
- Review and download. The clips appear under the job and in Made so far. Vega’s reply in Chat says where each clip came from in the recording.
Make the most of it
- Already uploaded it? It’s listed under Already uploaded — no need to send it again; press Find the clips to cut a new set without uploading again.
- Each clip runs about 12 to 90 seconds. For a recording under a minute and a half, use Finish a video instead.
- Upload a static .ttf or .otf of your brand font in the brand book so captions are set in it.
- Then plan a week of clips with Vega, so each one has a post and a day.

Questions
How long do you keep my recording?
The uploaded file is private and deleted automatically after 7 days. The clips are yours to keep.
How big a file can I upload?
The page shows the limit and refuses a file that’s too large before the upload starts. The clip finder reads recordings up to 1.4 GB, about 75 minutes of a typical Zoom recording.
Are the clips posted anywhere?
No. They come back to you to download and post where you like.
Who can upload a recording?
Uploading is for the account owner. Clips from a public link work through Clips from a recording.
