Sign-up forms: grow your list
Build a sign-up form for your website or a hosted landing page, so visitors join your email list with their consent recorded.
Email marketing → Forms and pages makes two things. A Sign-up form goes on your website and also gets its own hosted link. A Landing page is a hosted page with a headline, a hero image, your pitch and the form.
Every sign-up lands in your subscribers with its consent status. Double opt-in is on by default: people get a confirmation email and join only once they click it.
Why it helps
- Your list grows from your website, bio links and printed QR codes, with no copying of addresses by hand.
- Double opt-in keeps typos and fake addresses off your list, which protects your sending health.
- New sign-ups are tagged and can start a welcome sequence automatically.
How to use it
- Start a form or page. Open Grow → Email marketing → Forms and pages and press New. Choose Sign-up form or Landing page.
- Set the basics and fields. Under Basics, name it and check its Link slug. Under Fields, email is always on; switch on a name, company or anything else you need.
- Write the copy. Under Copy, set the Headline, Button text and Success message. Add a Redirect after sign-up if you have your own thank-you page.
- Decide what happens on submit. Under On submit, add tags in Tag new subscribers, pick a sequence in Enroll in a sequence, and leave Double opt-in on.
- Save and share it. Press Save. Under Share, copy the hosted link or the Embed code for your site, or press QR code to make a printable code.
- Watch the sign-ups. Open the Submissions tab to see each sign-up and whether it was confirmed.
Make the most of it
- Make a QR code for the form and put it on your counter, menu or flyer. Scans open the hosted page.
- The embed code is plain HTML with no script, so it works in most site builders and takes your own styling.
- Switch off Accept sign-ups to pause a form. Visitors see a notice instead of the form.
- Pages you build in Sites use these same forms, so every sign-up there lands in your list too.

Questions
Why isn't a new sign-up on my list yet?
With double opt-in on, a person joins only after clicking the link in their confirmation email. Until then they show under Submissions, but they aren't subscribed.
Can I change the link after I've shared it?
Yes, but the old link stops working. Changing the Link slug moves the form to the new address when you save.
Does a sign-up start emails straight away?
Only if you chose a sequence under Enroll in a sequence and that sequence is active. If it's a draft or paused, people wait in it until you activate it.
