QR codes: branded, tracked, never dead

Make branded QR codes for your menu, reviews, Wi-Fi or offers, change where they point after printing, and see how many people scan.

Grow → QR codes makes two kinds of code. A Hosted code prints a short link on your own web address, so you can change what it opens after printing, pause it, schedule it and count scans. A Static code (Wi-Fi, text, email, text message or phone call) has its content printed straight into it: it works forever, with no tracking.

Hosted codes never die. A printed code keeps working even if your plan lapses.

Why it helps

  • You print once and change the destination any time, so a new menu or offer never means new stickers.
  • You see how many people scan each code, by day, country and device.
  • Codes match your brand, with your colours and logo, in print-ready sticker, table tent and flyer layouts.

How to use it

  1. Pick a type. Press New QR code and choose a type, such as Google review, PDF or menu, Link page, Coupon, Feedback or Wi-Fi.
  2. Add the content. Fill in what the code opens. A Google review code looks up your listing for you; press Use it to confirm it.
  3. Design it. Start from My brand or Classic, pick Dots, Corners and colours, and add a Logo in the middle or a Frame with a caption.
  4. Set where and when. Press Settings to note Where it's printed, and to set Starts and Ends dates, a Scan limit or a password.
  5. Create and download. Press Create QR code. Under Download for print, get a PNG or SVG, or a ready-made Sticker, Table tent or Flyer.
  6. Watch scans and update it. Open the code to see its Scans. Press Edit to change what it opens, or Pause to stop it for now.

Make the most of it

  • Print it at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide and scan a test print before printing a batch. Give your printer the SVG; it stays sharp at any size.
  • Fill in Where it's printed ("counter card", "front window") on each code, so you can compare which spot gets scans.
  • A Feedback code on tables or receipts collects a 1 to 5 rating and a comment, sent straight to you.
  • Opening the short link yourself counts as a scan, so test once and leave it.
  • Static codes are always free and never count toward your limit.

Questions

How many codes can I make?

The free plan includes 3 hosted codes; the paid plan has no limit. Static codes are always free and don't count. See Plans and runs.

What happens to printed codes if I stop paying?

They keep working. If you're over the free limit, creating and editing codes and seeing scans are locked until you upgrade, but you can still pause or delete codes.

Can a code point anywhere?

On the free plan, a code can point at your own website, your social profiles, Google reviews and your hosted pages. On the paid plan any secure (https) link works once it passes a safety check. Link shorteners are never allowed.
