Meetings: a notetaker that writes the follow-up

A notetaker joins your Zoom, Google Meet or Teams calls and writes up the decisions, actions and open questions afterwards.

Meetings sends a notetaker into your video calls. It joins under a name that says whose it is, so everyone can see it's there. When the call ends, you get notes: a one-line summary, decisions, actions, open questions and key quotes.

Notes land in your Library, and in the Team room if you share them. It never joins a meeting you declined, and you can pull it out mid-call. The notetaker runs on your own notetaker account, which bills you directly.

Why it helps

  • You leave each call with the decisions and actions written down, without taking notes yourself.
  • The team sees what was agreed, so follow-ups don't depend on who was in the room.
  • You choose which meetings it joins, so nobody is recorded by surprise.

How to use it

  1. Add the notetaker key. If Meetings shows One key to set up, click Open the Connect page and add the key under Your own AI keys. The page explains where to get one.
  2. Connect your calendar. Connect Google so Meetings can read your calendar. It lists the Next 24 hours, showing only meetings with a Zoom, Meet or Teams link.
  3. Arm a meeting. Click Take notes on a meeting. The notetaker joins just before it starts.
  4. Send it into a live call. Under In a call right now?, paste the meeting link and click Send the notetaker. It joins in about a minute.
  5. End the call your way. In Recent, click End & write up to keep what it heard, or Discard to throw the recording away.
  6. Read the notes. When a meeting shows Notes ready, click Read the notes to open them in your Library.

Make the most of it

  • Set Join automatically to Meetings I organise so you don't have to arm each one. It's off by default.
  • Change It appears in the call as to a name your guests will recognise.
  • Discarded by mistake? For a few hours you can still click Write the notes anyway.
  • Untick Share the notes with the team to keep notes private; teammates can't open them in the Library either.
  • Tell people they're being recorded. In several places that is the law, not a courtesy.

Questions

Will it join meetings I declined?

No. It never joins a meeting you declined, and it leaves on its own if nobody shows up.

What does it cost?

The notetaker runs on your own notetaker account and is billed there, not by us. Its row under Your own AI keys in Connected apps shows the current price.

Can my teammates use it?

Meetings is owner-only. With Share the notes with the team on, teammates can read the notes; with it off, the notes stay yours.
