Reputation: reviews and mentions, answered
See what the web says about your business, with every review and mention in one list and a reply drafted by Herald for you to approve.
Grow → Reputation collects mentions of your business from the press, the wider web and your Google reviews, each with its sentiment, source and a link to read it. Switch on Daily brand monitoring and Herald scans every day. The Needs you filter puts negative mentions and anything with reach at the top.
Press Draft a response on any mention and Herald writes a reply, statement or note in your brand voice. Herald never posts anything: every draft waits for you.
Why it helps
- Bad reviews and negative mentions reach you the same day, at the top of the list, instead of weeks later.
- Every reply starts as a draft in your voice, so answering a review takes a read and a tweak.
- Every entry links to its source, so you can read the original before you respond.
How to use it
- Check your Business DNA. Make sure your Business DNA has your brand name and website. Herald uses them to know what to watch.
- Switch on monitoring. In Grow → Reputation, switch on Daily brand monitoring. New mentions and reviews appear here with their sentiment.
- Start with what needs you. Use the Needs you filter first, then All, Positive, Neutral or Negative. Press Source to read the original.
- Draft a reply. Press Draft a response on a mention. Herald reads the source and drafts a reply for your approval.
- Get a weekly read. Press Ask Herald for this week's digest for a summary of mentions and reviews, with replies drafted for anything that needs one.
- Ask for more reviews. Press Get more Google reviews to make a QR code that opens the review box on your Google listing.
Make the most of it
- Put the review QR code on receipts, tables or the counter, so happy customers can review while they're still with you.
- Answer good reviews too. Herald drafts a thank-you as readily as an apology.
- Watch the Reputation score over time. It builds as mentions come in, week by week.
Questions
Does Herald post replies for me?
No. Herald never posts, publishes or sends anything on its own. Every draft waits for you to approve it and post it.
Does monitoring cost anything?
Daily monitoring runs while you're away, so it needs the paid plan. On any plan you can ask Herald for a digest or a draft, which uses your team's runs. See Plans and runs.
Where do mentions come from?
Press coverage, public web pages Herald actually read, and reviews on your Google listing. Herald never invents a quote or a source; each entry links to where it was found.
